About Circuit
Connected by a shared purpose.
A New Zealand charity supporting locally led development in Myanmar.
Relationships are
at the heart of it.
Circuit brings supporters in New Zealand into relationship with community-led work in Myanmar. Its local partners help translate that support into practical opportunities.
The organisation’s history includes education, community health training and livelihoods. Our current focus is the Fair Market Project: putting local business capability to work for farming communities.
Stuart Corlett is a co-founder and works across partner relationships, administration and fundraising.

Understanding Shan State
A life begins
before the journey.
“Before a border crossing, there was a place called home.”
Before They Were Migrants · Foreword
Behind the word “migrant” are homes, livelihoods, languages and relationships. Before They Were Migrants follows the history behind journeys from Shan State to Thailand, showing how conflict, displacement and the loss of livelihoods can shape people’s choices.
People also move for education, work, family and the hope of something better. Supporting safer choices means respecting those ambitions as well as recognising the pressures people face.
For Circuit, that makes local livelihoods worth investing in: people should have more room to decide their own future.

Support our Admin
In New Zealand, Circuit has just one paid worker: Stuart Corlett. Stu works as a pharmacist alongside his part-time work for Circuit.
His part-time support comes from a dedicated team of people who love Stu and the work. Their support helps cover his role without drawing on project funds, keeping Circuit’s administration costs low.
Behind the scenes, that support makes time for the relationships, coordination and fundraising that help the work continue.
If you would like to be part of Stu’s support team, we would love to hear from you.
