Invite Circuit
Invite Circuit to speak at your church or community group
Invite us to speak at your church or community group about Circuit’s work in Shan State, Myanmar, and how practical care can help people shape their own future.
Stories behind the work
Meet the people and ideas behind Circuit International. We can talk about locally led development, livelihoods, community strengths and the relationships that make lasting support possible.
For churches, the conversation can also explore faith expressed through practical compassion. For community groups, we can focus on the work, the context and ways people can be involved.
Let us know what interests your group. We will discuss the topic, format and availability with you before confirming a visit.

The work behind the books
Stories and questions that stay with us
Stuart Corlett’s books have been shaped by 25 years of cross-cultural work in Thailand and Shan State, Myanmar. Relationships with people living through hardship, suffering and loss have prompted questions about compassion, belonging, faith and the ways we care for one another.
Those questions run through the books available here. The Shape of Love explores faith and practical compassion. Before They Were Migrants provides historical context for journeys from Shan State, while A Distant Light explores a family’s story through fiction.
The easy-reading Loss books invite reflection on grief, mortality and responding to another person’s pain. Legacy carries that conversation forward: what has mattered to us, and how might some of our care continue?
The books offer different ways to explore these themes, through research, fiction and personal reflection. Fictional and imagined stories are presented as such.
Introduce the books to your group
A Circuit visit can include an introduction to the books, the experiences and questions behind them, and how they connect with our work. We can discuss a short reading, an author conversation or a guided group reflection as part of your event.
For churches, clubs and small home meetings, the easy-reading books provide questions to keep the discussion going. You can choose one book or theme that fits your group, or ask us to suggest a starting point.
All books on this site are free to download as PDF and EPUB. No purchase or pledge is needed to read them or take part in the conversation.
