What progress should mean
The wider ambition is for families to have more financial breathing room and more say in their future. The questions worth asking include whether earnings improve, whether people can manage an unexpected expense, and whether their experience changes how the project works.
The Shape of Love explains why greater economic security may reduce vulnerability to exploitation. Establishing that trafficking has actually been prevented requires additional evidence. We do not turn a crop purchase or a participation count into a claim that a person has been “saved”.
The 2020–2023 reports document earlier programmes, including Seed Banks. The Fair Market Project’s 10% purchasing premium is a pricing model; its 1,000-family figure is a four-year target. These describe different things and should not be added together as a measure of impact.
